Augustine Boakye Scores In WAFA’s Win Over Karela

West African Football Academy Attacking Midfielder Augustine Boakye Scored his Fifth goal of the season to Power WAFA returned to winning ways on Wednesday afternoon.

WAFA recorded a 3-1 Victory Karela United in their Match-day 16 Clash at WAFA Park in Sogakope.

The visitors took the lead in the 14th minute through Kwame Boateng.

The 20-year-old snatched the equaliser for the home side in the 20th minute of the game.

Andrews Ntim scored in the 30th minute to help WAFA take the lead for the first time in the game.

The academy lads went into the break leading the tie by 2-1.

Just after recess, WAFA were awarded a penalty by the referee but the Karela United goalkeeper Yaw Ansah kept his side in the game as he saved Ibrahim’s Abukari’s spot-kick.

WAFA dominated possession in the half but were cautious in throwing away the lead.

Lawrence Agyekum sealed the win for the academy lads late in injury time as WAFA clinched all three points.

Boakye has netted 5 goals in his 13 appearances for WAFA this season.

WAFA are Occupying the 9th Position in the Ghana Premier League and have 22 Points from 16 Matches.
