Ghana Premier League giants Accra Hearts of Oak have officially announced the acquisition of Samuel Boadu as their new head coach.
Boadu joins the club following his resignation from his post as the gaffer of Medeama Sporting Club last week after leading the club to another win over Techiman Eleven Wonders. The former Medeama man has now put pen to paper on a three-and-half year contract at the Accra-based club.
The coach had been rumoured to be moving to Accra after leaving the Tarkwa-based side having stepped down from his post,
However, the Rainbow club made it official on Monday, unveiling their new head coach at the World Trade Centre, meaning his confirmation came as a no surprise to many who closely monitor the club.
Speaking at the press conference officially welcome Samuel Boadu, board chairman of the club Togbe Afede XIV said, “the board has approved the recruitment of one of the most brilliant young coaches in the country [Ghana].
“It is my privilege and honour to introduce to you a brilliant, young and promising Samuel Boadu.”
The head coach is expected to begin his role immediately and will take charge of the team when they host WAFA at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.
