Ghanaian youngster forward Christian Boateng netted his sixth goal of the season for Noravank Sport Club in the Armenian second tier league on Tuesday.
Ten-man Noravank Sport Club managed to beat FK West Armenia in the Armenian First Division at the Charentsavan City Stadium.
The 18-year-old grabbed the opener of the match for the home side in the 32nd minute before Stepan Harutyunyan levelled the score with seven minutes left on the clock.
In stoppage time, Armenian centre-forward David Ghandilyan netted the match-winner with a cool finish to hand them all the needed points.
Boateng enjoyed the entire duration of the match. He has scored 6 goals and provided 3 assists in his 14 league appearances for Noravank Sport Club this season.
‘Atonsu Benteke’ as he is affectionately called joined Noravank SC on a season-long loan from Ghanaian third tier side Cheetah Football Club during the summer transfer window.
He was part of the Ghana U-17 team that played at the WAFU-U17 Championship held in Niger, where Ghana made it to the finals but lost to West African rivals Nigeria on penalties.
The forward was also part of the National U-20 team before he travel to Armenia.
