Ghana Premier League outfit Ashanti Gold SC have finally reacted to the sudden and unannounced departure of French manager Romain Folz.
The French tactician together with the goalkeepers trainer Alejandro Manu Rodriguez went AWOL after Ashgold’s narrow loss to Elmina Sharks last Sunday at the Paa Kwesi Nduom Sports complex.
Under Folz, the Yellow and Blacks sustained a chain of good results bringing the three-time Ghanaian champions back in the title discussion and it remains a mystery his exact reasons for departing in such bizarre circumstances.
The duos unceremonious departure would leave a big hole in the technical department of Ashgold however the Obuasi-based side have settled on Thomas Duah on the interim with no plans of replacing the French tactician soon.
In a notice to the fans and the larger football caucus, the management of the club has expressed their readiness to explore available options to address the situation.
