Black Stars goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi has reportedly rejected an improved contract tabled by Medeama SC, Sportscorna has learnt.
Ofori Antwi affectionately called ‘Alawa’ has remained the No. 1 goalie for Medeama since joining the club from Asante Kotoko but a myriad of conditions with injuries top of table the reason he has not been consistent in between the sticks for the Mauves and Yellows.
According to sources close to MoTV the experienced goaltender will leave Medeama next season and thus his reluctance to pen a new contract with the title challengers.
Further reports suggest Ofori Antwi has a pending deal in South Africa. Meanwhile, Samuel Boadu – head coach of Hearts of Oak – who managed him at Medeama is looking at beefing up an already strong goalkeeping department with Alawa.
