Capital-based giants Hearts of Oak have reported Nigerienne import Mamane Lawali following his refusal to avail himself to the club to travel to South Africa for treatment.
The midfield linchpin who was instrumental under Kosta Papic’s early gold dust results for the Phobians suffered an injury in the first round and has since not returned to the field.
His injury and events thereafter birthed the ongoing impasse between his representative and Hearts of Oak which has culminated in the player refusing to embark on the trip to South Africa for treatment, per reports from the Phobian camp has refused to avail himself for the trip
Lawali and Kordie – another midfielder who has been sidelined for over a year – were billed to leave the country on Monday, May 10th, 2021 to make room for pre surgery discussions before the surgery will take place on May 13, 2021.
But as it stands, the lanky midfielder has turned down the move by the Phobians amid a contract renegotiation which was also kicked out by the player and his representative.
The Rainbow club has therefore decided to report Lawali’s conduct to the GFA for advice if he insists on not going for the treatment in South Africa.
