UEFA Champions League-chasing Borussia Dortmund are eyeing a move for Ghanaian teen sensation Kamal Deen Sulemana as a potential replacement for Jadon Sancho.
German side Borussia Dortmund are the latest club to show interest in signing FC Nordsjaelland’s Kamal Deen Sulemana as a potential replacement for Manchester United target Jadon Sancho, who is expected to leave the club this summer.
Sportscorna.com can exclusively reveal that the highly rated winger could be available for a fee of around 15 million euros.
Sulemana, who joined FC Nordsjaelland from their feeder club Right to Dream Academy in 2020, is attracting the interest of a number of clubs in Europe.
Borussia Dortmund, who are fourth in the German Bundesliga table, face competition from Dutch giants Ajax – who have stormed the camp of Nordsjaelland with the purchase of Kudus Mohammed last summer – Bayer Leverkusen, Sporting Lisbon, Villarreal CF, Olympique Lyonnais and English side Manchester United for the services of the Ghanaian attacker.
The 19-year-old still has three and half years left on his contract with the Danish outfit putting them in the driving seat at the negotiation table.
Borussia Dortmund Sporting Director Michael Zorc has targeted two players as replacement for Jadon Sancho with English-born Nigerian international Noni Madueke of PSV Eindhoven as their primary target and Ghanaian international KamalDeen Sulemana of FC Nordjaelland, a credible source in Germany told Sportscorna.com.
The Dortmund chief scout was in Denmark on Sunday to watch the match between FC Midtjylland and FC Nordsjaelland but unfortunately Kamal Deen could not feature in the match due to his accumulated yellow cards in the Danish Superliga.
He will been in Denmark on Monday to watch Sulemana in their match against FC Copenhagen before he submits the final scouting report on the player to the Sporting Director of the Yellow and Blacks, the source added.
Sulemana is enjoying an impressive campaign with FC Nordsjaelland.
He has nine goals and three assists to his name in 25 appearances so far this season.
He has been used both as a winger and as a striker by FC Nordsjaelland head coach Flemming Steen Pedersen this season.
If Borussia Dortmund seal the services of the Techiman-born wideman this summer, he would likely be a replacement for Jadon Sancho.
The 1997 UEFA Champions League winners are reportedly willing to sell Sancho for a fee of 100 million euros this summer, with two years left on his contract.
Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing the 21 year old.
