Ghanaian Defender Gideon Mensah Marks Injury Return In Varberg’s Defeat To Malmo FF

Ghanaian Young Defender Gideon Mensah has recovered from an injury after he did a MCL surgery in December to feature as Varbergs BoIS FC suffered a 3-2 defeat to Malmo FF in the Swedish Allsvenskan.

Mensah was making his first start of the season after his MCL surgery.

Veljko Birmancevic, Lasse Nielsen, Soren Krukow Rieks were on the scoresheet for Malmo FF while Oliver Stanisic and Simon Karlsson Adjei got the consolation goals for Varbergs Bols FC.

The 20 year old versatile player who missed their first four games got a yellow card in the 56th minute of the match before being withdrawn from the game in the 63rd minute.

Mensah joined the Green and Black lads from FC Nordsjælland in July last year.

Mensah was part of the Ghana’s U-17 team that reached the quarter final stage of the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in India.
