Brazilian trainer Ricardo Da Rocha will be joining Obuasi-based Ghana Premier League outfit Ashgold until the end of the season.
According to the latest intelligence gathered by Kumasi-based radio station Oyerepa FM, Ricardo Da Rocha will be returning to his old stomping grounds to beef up the technical department of the Miners.
The four-time winners of the Ghana Premier League have had an estranged relationship with head coaches this season with Roberto Landi, Milovan Cirkovic and Romain Folz all having stints with the Yellow and Blacks in the 24-week old Ghanaian top-flight.
Presently, club legend Thomas Duah – who is enduring a tough love with the supporters – has been appointed as the interim manager of the club till the end of the season, however, with results heading south it appears the decision makers of the club want to beef up the technical department with Da Rocha.
What remains untold is whether the Brazilian has secured his CAF License A certificate or its equivalent following his untimely exit back in 2019 due to his inability to produce the aforementioned documents – which is a requirement in order to lead a Premier League outfit in the top-flight.
Da Rocha is expected at the training grounds this morning to start work.
