Bernard Tekpetey Eyeing Black Stars Call-up After Impressive Season In Bulgaria

Bulgarian-based Ghanaian player Bernard Tekpetey has iterated words of hope concerning his return into the senior men’s national soccer team, Black Stars.

The 23-year old Ghanaian forward has not played for the Black Stars since 2017 – were he was part of coach Avram Grant’s squad for the Africa Cup of Nations tournament which Ghana finished fourth.

Bernard Tekpetey currently plays for Ludogorets on loan from relegated German side Schalke 04.

“I will bounce back into Black Stars again because whilst I have played for the national team before so I wouldn’t be surprised if am called into the national team again.” He told Original TV.

Tekpetey has had a successful season in Bulgaria ing PFC Ludogorets clinch the Bulgarian top-flight.

The 23-year-old featured in 23 league matches with 15 starts prior to his side’s title scalp. He scored in a 1 – 0 victory over CSKA Sofia in February.

Bernard Tekpetey’s spirit of joining the team is very high and he is ready to accept a call up from the national team.
