Controversial football administrator Nana Fitz has taken a swipe at the competence of Black Stars head coach CK Akonnor following his decision to appoint Dutch trainer Patrick Greveraars as his assistant.
The decision which was announced earlier this week has divided opinions with the bulk majority kicking against the choice of CK Akonnor, questioning his competence and grip on the hot seat as head coach of the senior men’s national team.
Wading into the discussion tough-talking veteran football administrator Nana Fitz blasted the former Asante Kotoko coach for the decision and argues Akonnor is just a ‘puppet’ in the hands of the Ghana Football Association.
“The Black Stars is bigger than C.K Akonnor, looking at the way things are going, he is used as a scapegoat,” he shared his opinion on Patrick Greveraars’ appointment.
“C.K Akonnor have no trust in David Duncan, we should ask David Duncan if he was informed about the white coach?,” he querried.
“Is the minister aware of this?” He continued with his query.
“The minister should sit up looking at the way things are going,”
“This one is a daylight robbery. The FA should be sacked if this is what they’re going to do. Ghanaians should know we can’t win the AFCON trophy with this,” the angry veteran administrator told Agyenkwa FM.
