Ghana Premier League outfit King Faisal are on the cusp of showing head coach Kasim Gokyildiz the exit door, Sportscorna.com can exclusively reveal.
The Kumasi-based outfit currently stationed in Techiman have had a difficult season struggling to meander their way out of the relegation dog-fight.
Chief among the reasons behind their struggle is the inconsistency at the technical dugout – the Insha Allah Boys commenced the 2020-2021 campaign with Serbian trainer Slavisa Bozicic, who was replaced by Andy Sinason, presently with Liberty Professionals before the appointment of Kasim Gokyildiz at the start of the second round.
But it appears the bankroller’s insatiable desire for expatriate coaches is not yielding the results on the pitch and with seven games to spare in the ongoing campaign, King Faisal are on the verge of pressing the panic button once again.
Following the club’s recent defeat to Techiman Eleven Wonders, supporters of the club have agitated and called for his sacking and according to the latest intelligence gathered by Sportscorna.com, the results churned out by Kasim has not pleased his employers and are preparing to sack him.
It remains unclear whether the Green and Whites will go in for an expatriate coach or settle down with an indegenous trainer considering the presence of former player Nurudeen Amadu on the technical bench.
King Faisal are perched on fifteenth position with 29 points – level on points with Liberty Professionals in 16th and a point ahead of second from bottom club Ebusua Dwarfs and three points ahead of rock-bottom club Inter Allies.
